his good but a lot people don't put Biggie or Big L in the top 10 greatest of all time because lack of the material
i think personally one of the things which qualifies for being the greatest rapper of all time is solid & robust discography
Oh lol. Was saying if it was 200 I was missing a lot
yeah that oblivion comp on the leak site got 98-99% of whats out there, and he updated it today
Lupe is incapable of not rapping in riddles what are you talking about. He can’t do what Jay does, but Jay can do what he does
🧢
Lupe is incapable of not rapping in riddles what are you talking about. He can’t do what Jay does, but Jay can do what he does
jay cant make a mural but lupe can write an allure
Wrong jay
nvm
Ya keep saying lupe but lupe said he listens to jay elect to improve
So did earl
Act 2 is nice but that had nothing to do with his rapping. His peak verses are among the best ever I’ll give you that.
Lupe is incapable of not rapping in riddles what are you talking about. He can’t do what Jay does, but Jay can do what he does
This is fundamentally untrue lmao
Ya keep saying lupe but lupe said he listens to jay elect to improve
So did earl
Iron sharpens Iron
It’s not like any of these niggas are wack
Damn I haven't been paying attention to new music for so long I had no idea Jay Electronica finally put out his album. I guess I got something to listen to tonight
I think Jay Elect is an elite MC, but what separates him from a lot of lyrical guys is he also self produces / coproduces a lot of these great songs of his and his music really does stand apart emotionally. Andre really the only person I compare Jay Elect to. Is he a punchline rapper? No. Does he have hella wordplay entendres? No. And that’s totally fine. For the emotional content he’s trying to get off, those things don’t always fit the tone. There’s a lot of gravity to what he writes however. If you listen to music and use it to reflect on life like I do, not many if any are touching Jay Elect. It’s really him, 3000, and Mos for me when I want to be introspective. The Act 2 leak really shows how visionary he was with the album and how it was HIS vision and he orchestrated it really beautifully. Compare it to Cole and a lot of rappers who self produce and you’ll see a difference. He’s more artistically driven than most MCs people are throwing out on this list.
Look, I came in the game in the name of The Messenger
On the inside of my black trick bag I had a plethora
Electrified the pulse of the game at the core like Tesla
And penetrated every realm of society like Kissinger
Special Officer Flowers in the army of the lord
Commander of forgotten angels at home and abroad
As sure as the Motherplane is the Throne of Fard
I swear to go the stone and come home with the sword
It's globally known, I float on the track like the coast guard
Every pigeon I spit is like a train or a postcard
It's magic the way I created fame out of folklore
And got bigger than Tom Hanks when he was playing by the Zoltar
I'm shinin' my light with the passion of Christ, haters
The force has awakened, I'm brandishin' my lightsaber
Starin' in the mirror every mornin' as I pause
Carressin' the scars from the brawls and wars that this life gave us
NO1 LISTENS TO JAY ELECTRONICA NEVER EVER WILL U HEARR THA WORDS PLAY JAY ELECTRONICA.

I will die on this hill. And if you hating, you're probably 15 and can't relate!
Edit: Forgot Biggie
“When you cried all of your tears out and one page of your diary can tell you what your year’s about, that’s a lonely place. My mama asked son why such a lowly face? Because the pressure’s on me. Plus I feel like Bill Murray trapped in Punxsutawney...”
No one raps like that or pulls in references that make perfect sense like Jay Elect.
