    Agreed on that part

Might be reading too much into it, but the fact that the most triumphant scene in the movie for Bryan is when he shoots the broomstick, causing a stream of zombies to spill out of the maternity ward onto the tumbleweed monster, which kind of resembles an egg could also maybe be something as well.

Although, I’d admit, that is probably a stretch.

His execution of that side plot could have been a bit better to deliver the themes. Again in my dream world he would Have him leaving audio logs or voicemails / recorded notes to Michelle and his daughter or son in case he didnt make it. Ending with what he wanted them to be named if he didn't make it. Only getting to call her twice felt foul. One where he was very scared then the other where he accepted death and let her know she would be a good mom.

    • Characters being so stupid when it would often be a better story if they were smart and yet some how other humans they encountered or infected pushed their will to keep going
-The Action character that was a professional does the absolute dumbest thing in the movie or up there
    • movie would benefit from him being with humans more. The game feeling could still be accomplished with a bit more time with other humans. Felt like they were afraid to do so because they wanted it to entirely feel like a single player game and progression Which i get in some regard because he is so indepedent and not ready to settle down with Michelle and child
-Movie oculd really use a boss battle type moment yes it has the elevator with acid and using the other zombies to knock him down. But feels like a full sequence or a human /mutated villain who used the hyper mutation to his or her advantage. The villain was humanity's clumsiness and incomptence to the point they door dashed the cure rather than send national guard military or the hired guns

There was just many messy things . Wonder if he or anyone will ever touch on the universe again.

I had my issues with it too...I mean the main guy being dumb and clumsy is fine I didn't expect dude to be an expert shot or to suddenly become a badass necessarily I guess it was everyone else being as or more stupid than him that got a little boring and annoying to me

Liked the movie a lot but agree with a majority of this

Especially Maxine would’ve been dope to see live or get more time with

Boss battle idea is dope too

Zach had bro throw away the ladder knowing damn well he still needed it to climb down out the window

And I know that was strictly written to have a little funny moment, but it was predictable and in no way someone THAT slow would be trusted to transfer human organs and s***

  • Thought it was fun and funny. Lots of the criticism itt is s*** I probably agree with but also I wasn’t really ever going into this expecting it to hit Weapons level heights for me so I kinda was just ready to have a good time and was happy to settle at that. That being said, I do think it is a ton of fun. There was 1 jump scare that startled me more than any jump scare attempt in a movie in a long time lol. I think some of the “this is like a zombie Fury Road!” talk is a bit crazy. I f*** with Abrams a lot.

I don’t even necessarily care about this (yet), but I do just wonder when video game adaptations will stop feeling like they need to do the thing where they have the first person view holding a gun like a video game / quick cuts of them gathering materials and looking for ammo… this doesn’t like inherently bother me, but I do think we’re at the point where we don’t need to always feel obligated to make reference to the medium itself. It feels like in the next few years we’re going to start seeing more and more video game adaptations once Hollywood truly starts to realize the possibility of profit if they commit to actually doing them well, and I could eventually start to be bothered by these references if we start getting a greater concentration of these types of adaptations hitting the screen

every character was stupid like it was an early 2000s horror movie . When if he played video games he would do a bit more new.
