I dont even know if there has ever been a good video game movie. So this being the best is kind of a low bar but I do give it props for being a good overall movie not terrible. A bit above mid. Fun popcorn movie.
I dont know about goats of the decade but 3 movies none of them terrible I do give him credit.

Original Resident evil was based on films
so my genuine question when people get into the "best video game movie discussion"
what elements does this movie have that feel exclusive to gaming
the easter eggs and saying video games out loud arent enough for me to truly qualify this as a game movie
no part of this movie was game like enough to say "okay this is a video game movie "
I don’t think
- finding new weapons
- searching for ammo
- a looming presence that follows you
Is limited to video game movies enough to call this best video game movie is like cheesing a final boss
