Idk if it’s just me but I always felt like the concept of him making his own trilogy even was a little too on the nose in trying to follow up the Nolan ones. Like why you gotta make a Batman trilogy so bad idk. He’s on Nolan’s jock for sure

He ain’t got an official credit on that film so I don’t count it. If he really contributed a bunch the WGA would have gave him credit.

I especially wanted to apologize to my fans who were looking forward to seeing my take on the caped crusader. I was planning on drawing inspiration from my favorite Batmen, Adam West and George Clooney

Mattson's young and early in his career. I'm not sure how Reeves even found him but he was helping on Batman before he ever had a Hollywood credit. He just missed out because he didn't write 33%. Whatever he did was enough to get a promotion to Reeves sole co-writer. Then he followed it all with a standout elseworlds Batman comic for DC.

Trust is already there with him and there's no doubt over how true of a Batman guy he is. Reeves must be his mentor or something too because he produced Mattson's directorial debut. Very different scenario than writing 2 bat-related bombs and a Bat movie that had to be wiped from existence

I mentioned in MoT thread days ago he was the one that did The Flash alongside every previous Gunn film since Guardians 2. With Gunns prior comments on Flash seeming genuine, he might have always intended to get the squad back together on this

It’s not like MoT and this film are filming at the same time so that theory doesn’t make any sense.

On one hand, Gunn wants a different tone for MoT so working with McCurdy who did stuff on Peacemaker makes sense.

At the same time it doesn't keep Braham locked into DC projects. He always goes off to do other stuff and can eventually come back for this in like 2029 or whatever. Not saying its happening but wouldn't be surprised. Gunn clearly likes that creative team and his own DP working it makes him favorable too

Yeah his stock would shoot sky high unfortunately. He shouldn't have said "Robin" though. At best i can see a flying Graysons scene, adoption and building that relationship for a long while. Bruce still needs to improve greatly as a solo crimefighter but could find himself supporting an orphan or something. 1st film teased that potential willingness

People dismissed it after Gunn replied even though Gunn technically never invalidated the rumor. He just claimed no one could possibly know story details unless you read the script yourself lol.

Sneider's just not scared to be wrong which helps him in these cases.

He said TB2 would "introduce Robin" last August, which Gunn just dismissed as nonsense because Sneider doesn't have the script. Not sure when a scooper needed to read the script to post rumors

Sneider does get story scoops wrong often and should be taken with a grain of salt, but he's been oddly spot on with crew scoops and for TB2 recently. He was also the first months ago to relay news that Zoe wasn't in the film

I wonder if Robin was ever considered for the movie
