Other than Mike from Off the Wall to Dangerous this is the best run in pop/rock history. On the first listen I enjoyed this a bit more than Sgt Pepper, especially since Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane ended up on the album although obviously they’d fit better on Pepper.

the story goes that during the recording of sgt pepper's john was doing so so so much acid, literally an acid with his breakfast cereal kind of deal, that it was a struggle to get him in the studio to lay down his parts and one of the consequences of that is paul had a ton of time to really refine his bass parts. a fun thing to do is to do a full sgt pepper's listen solely focusing on the bass, it is absolutely mesmerizing
Sgt. Peppers is a 5/5
Nothing more really needs to be said im buying some shrooms like next week and training my brain with this. Only gripes are the omission of Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane but on some positive s*** Day in the Life might be the greatest outro in rock history. GOAT s*** man GOAT s***.

Currently planning a vacation will return to this thread soon tho
