That was already 94' and 95', though. Cube had lost a ton of influence and impact by then and you can argue he was already past his prime--after Snoop, Dre, Pac and BIG had taken over. Had dropped 3 straight arguable classic solo albums by 92. He was just desperate to maintain relevance, coming off a disappointing reaction to Lethal Injection in 93'-- and did so by dissing people unnecessarily to maintain a buzz.

Cube was the top rapper from like 89-92. 3 straight classics, group classics, No Vaseline is arguably top diss record ever etc..He's top 5 imo and early on in Pac's career he would've destroyed Pac lyrically. Don't know about all the street s*** behind the scenes, but a pre DR Pac that was fresh off dancing around with Digital Underground would've had hell against a prime Cube. That's just my opinion, though
