Ur more in line with islam then.

Cause other than the deitification of jesus and the aspect of the holy trinity, there's much fundamental differences b/n the two.

The Quran recognizes jesus, but the Bible doesn't recognize Muhammad (pbuh)

  • been noticing the return of the spirit of Jesus and Muhammad. Peace and love is a message we need strongly today.

If youre a muslim youre a jew and christian too in a way since we believe that those religions were the earlier messages of God that got twisted/changed by humans

Don't get caught up in the differences. believing in one God and conceiving of yourself as a creation is the most significant step. Don't put a pressure on yourself to belong to a group, especially not by following the footsteps of practicing folks on either side because most are lost and confused in their self created perversions of the faith.

For me, there is only one religion and islam is its final update. You should read the Quran and focus on developing your own relationship with God

    Another big difference:

Christians believe in the original sin and that Jesus died for the sins of humans and that every human is born with sin

Muslims believe humans are born pure and without sin

This is differs with different churches tho

Orthodox believe everybody bears the consequences of the original sin, but only Adam and Eve are guilty. Catholics believe the guilt is also hereditary

It's not that every human is born with sin, more so that every human bears the burden of the original sin but needs to accept Christ as the saviour that died for our sins so we can be saved.

Bearing the burden of the original sin is not the same as not being born good or whatever.

Yes it is hereditary to burden the original sin, but that doesn't make you "a sinner"

"In the theology of the Catholic Church, original sin is the absence of original holiness and justice into which humans are born, distinct from the actual sins that a person commits."

There's a nuance. It may seem small, but it has huge implications.

Which is a bit silly (not to be rude to my muslim friends).

But they say God forgave Adam and Eve, but for their temptation, when clearly it's not the case since they got kicked out of Eden.

Does forgiveness necessarily mean no consequences?

No, but with their teachings yes, considering they say that Adam and Eve's relationship with God didn't change after that, when clearly it did.

I mean, what is religion? It's almost entirely built on faith that you are following the correct God and rules and guidelines set out in their holy book, sayings, and/or messengers.

Ignore the aesthetics, ignore the politics, and especially ignore our modern conceptions. Read the Qu'ran and Hadith and the assorted writings of the Bible and ask yourself "What do I have faith in?" You may come to find that you don't even really believe in either.

The same argument the white man uses to not pay reparations.

Also it's not so much that you are paying for the sins of another, but rather you're paying for and honouring Jesus' sacrifice for humanity (if you're christian)

Individual white people today shouldn't be blamed for slavery, that doesn't mean reparations shouldn't be given.

IMO hadith are a secondary source at best

OP should first and foremost stick to the Quran for knowledge

Individual humans alive right now aren't being blamed for the original sin
