I don’t want to hear s*** about what anything costs. We’ve spent well over a trillion in literally pointless military adventures in the past 2 decades. I’d rather our money be “wasted” on our own people than used to bomb brown kids.

Ask how much the wars cost, ask why students have 1.6 trillion in debt, ask why it costs more taxpayer money to keep people in jail than it does to house them. ask what people are paying for right now in terms of health care. ask what the cost of doing absolutely f***ing nothing is.

What Bernie meant was that costs rise from year to year so he wont have an exact number until hes in office.

    Blown out of proportion

  • Bernie bringing us through the void.

60 trillion dollars is what the shareholders say it should cost.

Even if it's 1 trillion dollars worth of work and production, it's a 60 trillion dollar value to us.

    Nice try corporate shills

The full length is five seconds longer than the clip. All he says is it’s going to cost more if he doesn’t do anything -

Which doesn’t make sense because he said he doesn’t know the cost to begin with

So Bernie can’t give an estimate?

It’s more likely that he wants to suppress that it’s going to cost 60 trillion. american people aren’t going to vote for Bernie once they hear how much his socialist plans are going to cost

    Nice whataboutism

    (Since were on the topic)

Why do all Bernie supporters look like this?

  • Jan 27, 2020

It's so stupid to talk about any government program in terms of cost when the value they create can't be measured in monetary terms. That's why capitalism is cheeks. It only looks at things in terms of money and profitability. If a program costs $20 trillion but it would increase everyone's life expectancy to say 150, how would you measure that, or if it improved people's self worth, their sense of economic security, their education, the environment. Yes you could say this is how much the economy can produce because people are better off and can afford more, but what a stupid way to reduce the role and value of a government program in our society. Governments are not in the business of doing things in an feasible, economical way. They're there to provide services that the economy or individuals by themselves can't afford to provide but are necessary nonetheless.
