    Nah tbh I've always wondered why he was so huge in my area but I've never been able to figure it out. He's like Snoop and Dre out here. Never heard about him on any website or magazine or anything ever.

    I can only imagine what every other filmmaker thought of Lang and Murnau by '31 made creating opus after opus in totally different genres look so easy

    @HeyFella thought you'd like to hear Fritz talk about his approach to sound after reading your review;

    like he says, the way he lets dialogue carry on from the last scene as he continues to show the procedures of the cops etc is so ahead of its time

    @HeyFella thought you'd like to hear Fritz talk about his approach to sound after reading your review;

    I was just talking to someone about this the other day. Specifically the part in the beginning about how crowd noise or conversations in a restaurant drown out as you have your own personal conversations in a small space like a booth or table. The ear naturally unfocuses like the eye does or a camera lens.

    Daughter of the Dragon (1931)

    It was pretty stereotypically racist but it also revolved around Anna May Wong so it was also relatively progressive
