I kind of can’t believe this was recorded in the early 70’s. So much of 2000’s and onward female indie folk is looking at this knowingly or not. It’s everything down to the melodic choices and atmosphere.

Yeah it’s nowhere near as good. Still his rendition of These Days is really yearning in the best way, but I also really like Our Lady of The Well and the closing track. The opening track and Colors of The Sun are solid too.
