Diamond Dogs is really underrated. I always forget how good Rebel Rebel is. Rock N Roll With Me, We Are The Dead, Big Brother, etc. I mean c’mon.
entire album is basically a musical and written in that style (except Rebel Rebel which kinda sticks out due to that and it's insanely catchy). Not necessarily glam tbh. I guess that's one of the reasons it gets a bit overlooked. Idk I think it was the moment Bowie actually started finding his own authentic voice beyond the theater.
spooky cosmiche

I still view it as his last glam record, but I know what you mean.
Never been much of a Clapton guy, but this is great.

I know we are in 74 and I had plenty of time to post it, but I listened to that Wizzard record in full for the first time (I had only heard a select amount of individual tracks before) and god is this a masterpiece. I was blown away by this one.
@Aruji you ever heard this?
really cool album from South Korea's rock guitarist goat. seems like another case of psych rock remaining in style for a bit longer outside the west
Speaking of Wizzard, their 74 album is really good. Roy Wood is kind of a genius.

I love the 2nd one, but the 1st is like some cosmic Del Shannon song. It caught me off guard when I first heard it.

s*** u right lol i see it
@op i put you onto Bedemon already some time ago right? forgot if i posted the 1973 ones from last year but these are from 1974 as are most of the archival album songs
only thing heavier than this at this point was some Sabbath songs
also closely associated and much more famous doom band Pentagram released this amazing one in 1974. like half the same members as Bedemon or something. also a cool Stones cover
cool how you can directly see the line from 60s US garage-psych to doom metal with this stuff. they really might be the first true USA metal band, complete with the darkness and satanism in the aesthetics

Damn that second one nice too. this is like crack for an early 60s stan.
I remember hearing this in that amazing car chase scene from Refn’s Too Old To Die Young and I was shocked this was from Manilow. Didn’t know he had this in him.
best BOC album
sick Del Shannon bite

maybe you were wrong about The Move after all eh

They didn't sound like this. I revisited they still suck. His solo album from last year is boring as hell too.
