Great choice. I’m pretty sure they play that in Velvet Goldmine too. But On Some Faraway Beach is the one for me. That’s transcendent.
if Dead Finks is a 10/10 then Warm Jets title track is 9.99/10
Faraway Beach, Babys On Fire, Some Of Them Are Old, Mother Whale and TTM title track are all 9.5
as far as sheer creativity and studio wizardry goes, Eno was probably more locked in this year than anybody had been since Beedles did Pepper/Mystery Tour

yeah for the first two albums figured this was a major part of our collective canon
I guess enough time has passed for me to declare it
@KNEES this is Eno's opus of the year and probably overall S.O.T.Y.

yeah its basically a tie between the top two on Warm Jets and the top two on No Other but I gotta pick one. it was an easier choice this year than alot of other years.
@Drogon_ which Neil Young albums have you heard?
might have to craft a Spotify playlist for my #2 goat
its alright i know most here prefer HCTWJ
theres definitely more than a couple Dead Finks devotees
about the same amount of Third Uncle purists @Galaxy

Looking back probably 1967 so many highs to consider
'55-'58 were tough as well when all the rockabilly og's were cranking out nonstop bangers

yeah '67 was pretty stacked. I'll take your word on '55-'58 tho, that early rockabilly era is a total blindspot for me
good debut album from Hatfield and the North. aka Richard Sinclair from Caravan plus 3 other Canterbury mainstays

stop sleeping early rock was a glorious racket
packing more energy and charm into two minutes than most punk bands could dream of decades later
