The reality is that what Manchin/Sinema are doing is just theater. They’re the chosen fall-guys who are running cover for many others in the Democratic party. It’s basically the role of known “moderates”

Surely other Democrats, fully compromised by their wealthy donors, want the bill to be whittled down to nothing. They’re not gonna come out and say that, risking political blowback. They let moderates be the only public holdouts and thus those moderates take the blame for the stagnation. Then they can vote ‘yes’ on an inexpensive barebones bill, shrug their shoulders, and preserve their public image in the process

Some schools are even more expensive than that. Been seriously thinking about moving to Canada tbh. Imma take a trip out there next year

It’s far from perfect and I’ll most likely end up back in the states after uni but it’s definitely a more economically “fair” place, emphasis on quotations cus there are still deep inequalities
