Drake talks about his longterm plans, honest conversations with women, and his insecurities
Yeah not that interesting tbh. But he still great
Tbh rocky was never in that consideration, cool moment but no one was looking for a real RAP CLASSIC from him
Rocky had more chance than Sean lol
Big Sean is one of the most overrated rappers
Like a s*** ton of his so called fanbase turned on him when Kanye said f*** him
Those weren’t Big Sean fans lmao that was mainly just KTT anyways…KTT overall has always hated on him cause they wish Kanye discovered them instead

Easily one of the most underrated rappers from his era lol
Niggas just didn’t care to listen to him for whatever the case outside of his singles
Big Sean reached his maximum potential with the DSP -> I Decided Run. He just wasn't that guy I guess. Meek got closer.

This statement doesn’t even make sense
That’s why these arbitrary big 3 discussions are so dead, not everyone has to reach drake level
The fact you said he’s “Big 3… Or 4” is the perfect summary as to why his name doesn’t get mentioned in the Same likes of Kendrick or Drake.
Sean, Meek & Wale the secondary top 3
Id agree but what about future and nicki

they’re both in the primary top 3, alongside drake

There was a shared minimum of success in the big 3. They were all selling minimum of 300k fw every time out by 2015. Sean topped out around 170k. In total sales DSP did better but doesn’t stack up against Cole or Kendrick’s best selling albums, and they both had bigger hits than Sean too
Lack of anything to say?
No
Lack of innovation?
No
Signing to Kanye West and GOOD MUSIC?
No
Big Sean is top 3.
His last performances at festivals are just the proof.
Over Future? You’re insane
he’s more known for his singles than his full albums
there’s a reason people call DSP his best album and most of that IS singles

Whew so good
It’s like saying because a player isn’t Michael Jordan that they can’t make the Hall of Fame
If you count mixtapes, Sean’s run went from like 07’ to 2020(?) with Detroit 2 going #1.
That’s a run that’s better than 96% of all rappers ever. Multiple number 1 albums, smashes.
I think saying he SHOULD have been more / been in the big 3 is kind of unfair. Not everyone can win 6 championships. As his festival run this year has showed, he’s settled into a post run niche act that’s still relevant, and that’s fine.
Not everyone has to be in the GOAT conversation. He’s made his mark.
I’d argue he may have overachieved given his starting point. Historical career
Sean, Meek & Wale the secondary top 3
Wild how their personality killed all of these niggas career heights tbh
