Rocky had more chance than Sean lol

You tripping. Best chance rocky had was right out the gate with his first album.

Can't overlook his freestyles before the album either.

    Nah man.
I'm just looking for a real discussion.
    F*** Drake.
That nigga didn't even has a meaningful song. Nothing but club songs. Drake is great. But let's be honest... What did he contribute to black people growth

    What has Sean contributed?

    Dark Sky Paradise out now

No one outside of Big Sean puts that album in the same discussion as those projects.

Typecasted and written off because of the stigma behind his “corny” lines and bars which were no more corny than anything Drake or ye has said

Sean imo doesn’t have the charisma that Ye has to get corny bars off. His recent verses always sound as if he was reading his bars off paper when reciting them in the booth to me.

I don’t quite agree with this take because Kanye bars at times are cringeworthy bad, I don’t hear the charisma at all

But I get the sentiment, I feel you

I guess it’s a preference things but I always viewed Ye’s corny bars the same way I view Fab’s and let them get their s*** off lol

I'm convinced that people only think Big Sean is a big artist because other people say he's a big artist.

Big Sean is a bubble waiting to burst

I hope yall realize the real big 3 for most of the 2010s was Drake Kendrick and Fewtch, not Cole. Only forums and twitter push the Cole over Fewtch narrative.

  • Aug 10, 2022

If he should have then he would have but he didn’t so clearly wasn’t good enough for enough people

  • Aug 10, 2022

    1. Kendrick
    2. Sean
    3. Cole
    4. Drake

If we talking about straight rap prowess and not who's "bigger".

Big Sean is only number 2 to Kendrick Lamar.

The youth can learn alot from those 3 albums but they would rather listen to YB. It's just indicative of the current culture we live in.

Why couldnt Big Sean turn the Big 3 into the Big 4?

Much has been said about the Big 3 and their placements; and even the validity of one of them being part of it. BUT lets talk about the guy forever on the outskirts of the discussion.

He had radio hits, albums that sold well, a respectable pen, and a good image…so what didnt click?

Lack of anything to say? Lack of innovation? Signing to Kanye West and GOOD MUSIC?

    big 3 isn't really real
    if anything it's a top 5
but to answer your question generally I think Big Sean is more known for his singles and that doesn't mean he's not a top tier rapper. just doesn't get a lot of hype for his albums the way a Drake or Kendrick Lamar does

I still think he's top 6 mainstream rappers of his generation

    wrong album

the point of picking that line is to show that even though sean has given some good albums to the culture he's also contributed a lot of corny / trash bars

probably part of why he's not considered a top 5 type of rapper
