Drake was seen as a lame until 2015 when he rebranded. Even now, people clown him all the time for dorky s*** he does. He brings us hits and we appreciate him for that, but being an icon is something else. Compare him to, like, Marvin Gaye, David Bowie, Prince, MJ, even Kanye...it just doesn't work.

Beyonce has a cult of her own and it's big enough to be mainstream. We make fun of Papi's Angels on here but the Beyhive comes up all the time in the press. The love she gets is on a whole different level and she's got a larger than life mystique now because, yeah, she's an icon.

Rihanna has become more appreciated the less active she's been. Crazy prolific at her peak and a great hitmaker. Maybe not as iconic as Beyonce but important all the same. 2006-2016 would have felt totally different without her.

    Beyoncé.

    Icon? Beyonce, easily.

Someone having a lot of chart hits doesn't make them an icon. Beyonce is a cultural symbol.

now that I think about it, Beyonce is probably the only artist/celebrity universally loved/respected by all the legends and her industry peers. They always turn into stans whenever they meet/see her. She's like a Goddess to the rich powerful ppl with huge followings themselves. Rihanna said herself that "the artist of my life is Beyonce" and Drake regularly worships that big ass Beyonce portrait in his studio. Mike and Prince loved her and even Patti and Aretha respected her talents and work ethics.. Her name is synonymous with 'perfection' in pop culture and 20+ years in she still dominates conversation and the center of the cultural zeitgeist for atleast 10 years. She'll definitely be a legend one day. Rihanna is up next and the biggest hitmaker of all time and made the soundtrack to my generation's life. Drake is the current IT guy for time being.. I'd like to see how his career transitions as he settles into his 30s a bit more.

Drake can still walk by the street in a lot of countries in the world and go relatively unnoticed, Rihanna and Beyonce are recognized all round the world. Drake isn't that big of an Icon outside USA, Canada and English Speaking countries in Europe

    Beyoncé’s star is grossly overrated

Drake is not an icon like Beyoncé

Rihanna by far, if you were on a college campus (anywhere in the world) during the Loud/Talk that Talk era you would know she been solidified.

Also from the 2000s only her and Kanye are the only ICONS who can hold a candle to the superstars of the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Lmao at people comparing Beyonce to the Micheal Jackson.

Take note of the people ITT saying Drake. They're either re.tards or teenagers that doesn't know the meaning of the word "Icon".

The people saying Rih are stupid too. Drake and Rihanna are superstars. Beyonce is an ICON.

it’s definitely beyoncé she’s been a superstar for like at least 20 years at this point and is the most respected artist out of the three mentioned by peers and people in general.

  • if you say drake you spend too much time on here

  • Jul 2, 2020

I ain't even trying to slight Drake, but I've never heard of anyone viewing him as an icon

  • Jul 2, 2020

    Drake is not an icon

  • Jul 2, 2020

Beyoncé debuted a whole 12 years before Drake’s. Let that sink in
