I'm sorry, but this thread is just disrespectful to Janet

Love Janet and she is one, but she’s not relevant currently like the other 3.

    How is Drake an icon?

He’s not one, his stans too quick to crown him that. He hasn’t had that iconic moment yet.

An icon is more than just charting high, Drake needs to move the needle for the culture. He hasn’t done that yet.

That’s not enough, what has he really done besides be the most popular. What is exactly Drake a symbol of?

  • Jul 2, 2020

    Icon
a person or thing regarded as a representative symbol or as worthy of veneration.

    Yeah Beyonce wins this

He is the embodiment of the duality of man. The constant battle between fragility and toxicity that each and every one of us deal with on a daily basis.

That’s very precise but most people don’t identify him that way.

The real fans do and that’s all that matters 🤷‍♂️ We are the ones who elevated him to the level of success he’s at today due to his music resonating on such a personal level. If his music can touch that many people and become the soundtrack to so many lives, idk how one could legitimately discount his achievements as an artist

Speak for yourself because Beyonce is not my mf'in MJ

thats how the industry, her peers and the media treats her. Beyonce doesn’t have to sell another record, if she enters any room celebrities with massive cultural capital themselves revert to gushing crying fans in a way that hasn’t been seen by any one since mike.. clive davis made a whole audience stand up and clap for her just cause she arrived in the room

seth rogen describes the same thing happening at a movie premiere

    at 2:40

she has skyscrapers across the world curated with inspiration from her image/body
