They must’ve had nothing or something unplayable. Cancelling 6 years in is insane. Not even a year ago they said it was still in active development
All the best BioWare devs went here anyways, hope it fills the mass effect sized hole in my heart. Kinda unbelievable they had this incredible sci fi world with mass effect and did no spin offs besides andromeda (which basically abandoned the whole original setting)

·1 replypeople will blame kushner and the saudi's but the reality is they haven't done s*** worthwhile in well over a decade. andromeda, anthem and veilguard were massive, horrendous flops. you have to go back to 2014 with dragon age inquisition to find even a modicum of success

it hasn’t even been 2 years since they moved into full scale development, they were working on veilguard until Oct 2024

Can't think of a studio that fell off harder but in their prime they were absolutely goated. I think all of the og devs were gone anyhow so really they've been dead long before this.
