Definitely try to go outside once for the experience if you got enough money
I’ve been saving up so now it’s just time to decide on my first trip
Ethiopia in shambles rn politically but the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam could help make it one of the richest in Africa
I have a friend who’s from there, I intend to travel with him when he goes back. God willing
Yessir
any reason why? Personally Lisbon was one of my least favorite places in all of europe

Honestly I know nothing much about the place besides the fact they got good food and nice architecture. What didn’t you like about it?

What is there to do in Turkey?
What is there to do in Turkey?
Plenty beaches, amazing nature, ancient history, great food, a nice little party scene, hospitable people, pretty cheap and lots of tourism industry experience (7th most visited country in the world I believe)

is Istanbul the place to be? Or are there neighboring cities to go to as well?

virtually everything tbh one of my worst experiences traveling ever. granted if you're going to visit because of architecture, that's definitely true and there's a lot of cool historical sites, museums, etc. - if you take the train just out of Lisbon I found the surrounding areas to be way nicer (Sintra was a bit far but that was really cool, same with Cascais). Basically my experience with Lisbon was 90% of the people being absolute d***s (like the type of supposed stereotypes you hear about people going to Paris, but this was actually real
), a lot of the food i didn't enjoy even at local places since i try not to be touristy or anything, and it was weird af how like skeevy a lot of lisbon was. Constantly had like d*** dealers trying to sell me s***, lots of people like ODing or shooting up in the street, etc. - keep in mind this like even in the "nicer" areas of the city.

Istanbul for a world class city, water is a bit cold there
Fethiye or Antalya for nature plus beaches and parties plus warm water for swimming

Damn bro yea I didn’t know anything like this was going on. What’s your favorite spot in Europe? Or one you’d recommend

anything adriatic or mediterreanean imo
also had good experiences in east europe/balkans but prob wouldnt rec most of those if youre darker skinned because yeah lots of racism depending on what neighborhood you're in. not saying anything would happen but would probably be limited to not leaving the major cities/capitals

I’m light skin with dreadlocks so idk, I’ll probably deal with the racism regardless.

anything mediterreanean imo is great to visit. turkey isnt technically europe obv but since it was mentioned id put it in the same category

U wont deal with much racism in turkey tho. Turkey has a different relation to black people than Europe due to being the head of the Ottoman Empire which had lots of dealings with Africa. Turks really love black folks. They might even love em too much and bother them lol

We have a crib there bc we turkish but the hotels got great and cheap resorts
Idk if u ever played it but my bro's resort reminded me of Wii Sports Resort like it was a whole area of subtropical shyt and sports and stuff, tennis courts and swimming pools, and he aint even spend that much
The turkish currency got bad inflation too rn so it's very cheap for dollar and euro currencies
