iremember when I made a thread abt all black ppl being aboriginal/Indians & niggas was on my head 😂
on every continent, the aboriginals are darkskin ppls. like how is that a stretch? I was stating the obvious.
even today, they’re (aboriginals) still melanated. In fact Europa is named after a black woman, as is the state of California (Khalifia) & Asia (Aja)
A big part of our culture is the admiration of our women (Big Momma, Nefertiti, Queen Khalifia, etc) because we understood women being intermediaries to the spirit world & the key to nationbuilding

The Australian aboriginals I can see associated into the black social group due to parallels to the black African experience in the larger oppression under white supremacy but the racial dynamics for other oceanic and austronesian groups are distinctly different in their relation to the slave trade and imperialism

there was bits of slavery in australia but main thing they tried to do here is breed them out (stolen generation)

Looking back I agreed with the a***ysis and can’t really remember I had read the book in 2018. I think I made this post after talking with a friend on the idea that racialism existed as a result of capitalism itself and not the continuation of historical trends of colorism that led to oppressions of darker skinned humans across the globe

i see. do u still hold to that view?

Oh the argument was pretty recent. I definitely think colorism was a preexisting factor co-opted by the capitalist mode of production and reconstructed into racism, something way better for reinforcing the stratification that capitalist economy creates

oh for a sec i thought u meant u were talking to ur friend in 2018 lmao. what's your definition of colorism & your understandings of its historical development? same for racism, & how do you conceive of both antagonisms vis-a-vis anti-blackness?

Ok so just to update folks on the Current political landscape in SA my home country.
We recently had our national elections the ANC(Nelson Mandela, Oliver thambo, the party that liberated ppl from apartheid but is a s***show now) won but.......... for the first time since their post apartheid rule they haven't won by majority and are forced to be a coalition government, meaning they would need to team up with another popular party to earn the majority.
So here's the thing about the coalition possiblities.
The ANC can team up with the DA( a party who is hyper capitalist and isn't about evening the distribution of wealth, expropriation of land without compensation and they have been proven as an OPP to black folks and have their following because of the anti black minority in the country) or the ANC can form a coalition with the MK( spearheaded by criminal former president Jacob Zuma, the president who opened the corruption floodgates that currently permeate today's political landscape ) and the EFF ( a radical pro black party run by Julius Malema that is for leveling the distribution of wealth to make things more equal and is for expropriation of land without compensation ).
So here's the thing about these two coalitions the DA ANC coalition is more right leaning, could possibly open up oppurtunities for investment from the west (America, EU) but this coalition would mean the end of our relationship and being a part of BRICS.
The ANC EFF and MK coalition is more on the left and prioritize black people and black African "traditional values" and pan africanism but the thing is queer people will be at risk(I don't think to the point of extremism or anything worse than now). Also everyone who is antiblack is fighting to convince black people that this coalition isn't the move because of these two parties coming from the ANC and the possibility of the continuing of corruption that could potentially hurt the country even more.
Personally I'm happy the ANC lost the majority because that party has beeeeen playing in our faces and have been really s***ty.
I personally want the ANC EFF MK coalition even tho it can be at my detriment in some points. The DA is a racist party and I don't want them to ever have a seat.
