I strongly recommend picking up a copy of James Yaki Sayles “Meditations on Wretched of the Earth” if you’re able to, and consider reading it alongside. He a***yzes the whole book basically line for line. Unfortunately he couldn’t finish cuz he died in prison, but he got a good chunk of it, and what he did complete is absolutely brilliant. By far the best secondary literature on Fanon you’ll find. Does a great job of really beating back the liberal distortions of Fanon that so many people in the academy like to peddle. It’s very easy to read too, Sayles uses a very casual, street style of diction, so it can also help if Wretched is proving to be a challenge for you. Wretched can be pretty difficult the first time
