I’d wash it clean with a shampoo and conditioner and make sure I get as much dirt out then cut it and start over if you already thinking about it.
That way it can grow back evenly and you can also keep your free forms in a bag and reattach them later lmfao.
Picking it out might take a minute and you might still lose length. Your hair will grow back by summer - end of summer to loc how you want.

I’m very happy with my decision but wish I had waited a few more months. It doesn’t take much Yeah thinking it may be best. I guess I've been getting tension bumps this whole time thinking it was seborrheic dermatitis. Hoping that thicker locs will stop that
