Low porosity hair is da WOAT
I need more help understanding porosity - heard about it for the first time a few months ago and didn't really understand
Was gonna chop it all off and grow out a more full head of locs with a taper instead of hightop but quarantine got me saying f*** it. Might just twist the growth I've got on the sides and see how that looks before I get a taper
Although this heat got me questioning wanting more
what’s that
"If you have low porosity hair, it means the structure of your hair doesn't easily allow moisture to be absorbed into your hair shaft. This can make it harder for water to saturate your hair when it's washed. Because this type of hair tends to repel moisture, it can also be more challenging to process and style."
Products dont seep into low porosity hair as easier as the other porosity types.

sounds woat.
would def keep a low / mid cut and do oil massages often
Never saw this thread before, anyways I gotta retwist my hair, I wanted to try something new but I'm so lazy and not that good with braid styles but I'm thinking I might try and learn.
I’ve been told my twists look horrible - any tips? I literally had my mom do them for me

They not bad tbh. You just have a lot of frizz. They a look way cleaner once you get that frizz down. And your hair type seems more curly so it’ll be hard for them to lock
Feels like my hair hasn't grown an inch in the past 6 months
never understood why this happens to some people. sounds scary

It's hell man. I've been waiting 6 months to lock it. It's in that awkward phase where it's too short to lock, but too long to make it look good unless I get a fresh fade every 2 weeks. It just isn't growing. I wash I once a week and I hardly ever comb it so idk what else to do.
Contemplating on just rocking a few two-headed dragons, since they refuse to loc at the ends
Gonna dye my hair blonde bc of this
you ever had hair like this?
how was the maintenance?

nah I havent I’ve only had twists.
Been growing since 2013. Had braids up until 2018 and switched to locs. Combined my locs earlier this year from 267 to 130 via two- strand twists.

Nah, that's when your locs either marry each other or you combine them and they won't lock at the ends. Like this
I've seen some people on YouTube rock a few

I got mad of those, started off my locs by just grabbing random sections and twisting with my finger. Honestly like the look more than a perfectly neat head of dreads
