Just got my first braid up. Cant believe it took me this long

Might grow my hair out and alternate between ponytail, Bantu knots, and 2 strand twist

Anyone got any recommendations for a haircutting set?

I have a pair of wireless Andis slimline pro lithium for lineups

Also got a pair of Wahl 5 star clippers for fading, but haven’t used em to fade in years. Really just use em to lay my hair on the sides down to give the illusion of a fade. Sorta like a pseudo-fade

That’s really all I got, but I’m thinking of copping the self cut system as well and some new guards

I haven’t tried anything else so hardly a recommendation, but those get the job done pretty well for my level

My fro is at that annoying length again where it makes my cranium enormous. So I’m at a crossroads of not being a p**** and finally locking up, or shaving my head n starting over and continuing the cycle

But yea the Wahl 5 stars can do that for you, I use it to shave my head sometimes when I’m restarting

But obv wanna start by cutting the ends with scissors first so that it can be close to a fro before mowing it

Preciate it and yeah it looks dope but man I couldn't bring the phone to my ear or see sometimes

This was back in June though, dealt with the sides and some of the back with just scissors and keeping the bangs (don't know what else to call them lmao) manageable with occasional scissor trimming

Was really damaged too which made it easier to cut with scissors actually
