Depends on wym. Thicker locs = neck pain when they longer from my experience. I got brother locs now and it don’t feel like there’s anything on my head after that initial retightening feeling goes away. S*** light as hell and thinner than my first set of locs that were a way thicker but always felt heavy

Guess for retwists. I got a ton of small locs and only get a retwist every 4-5 months because the tension is odee no matter what style

Have you tried a middle part? Found that leads to no tension after the retwist feeling goes away and in ponytail styles. Like mine is straight down the middle all the way back and my locs fall on either side for styling or just free

Started mine from freeforms so no middle part, thinking I might go that route if I cut. Torn between starting from scratch or picking my s*** out
