Gerard Valkyrie might be some of the worst writing ever lmao. You have Kenpachi who just beat a guy who literally couldn't be beaten unless you made him think he should lose, and Toshiro/Byakyua who's true bankais were insane, and the god damn vizoreds. If THEY couldn't beat them, WHO COULD'VE??? He literally had to plan the Yhwach taking his powers bullshit out because he was unkillable

I’m praying OP ends with a series of moments as bad as double EMS Kakashi, Kaguya or some of the questionable choices mentioned on this page.

The pacing is good rn and they’re moving around scenes a little bit, so I’m hoping there’s at least enough a space to insert like flashbacks or cutaway scenes that give some extra dialogue…but as far as full on episodes (that I think are needed) to fill in the potholes. I think we might be f***ed

The absolute worst thing is that Yhwach seems too strong for literally anyone to touch him ever, based on Gerard, Haschwaltz and Gremmy being parts of his powers. He then absorbs the soul king. And then he gets basically one shotted by true bankai Ichigo without the Almighty. This super strong mfer literally has nothing outside of just being unkillable. Kubo couldn’t even make him look broken right, it was just all cheap. Him absorbing the Sternritters when they were murdering the Shinigami and he wasn’t even being pushed by Ichigo was absolutely fkng sped too

I feel like the hard part is just how taxing these series are, especially from the manga companies themselves. Like DB ends perfectly if Toriyama ends it after the frieza or cell saga. But they kept milking him
