nah cO as a whole has phenomenal songwriting but the thing is that Blonde has overarching themes that are subtly connected through the songwriting without being overly explicit. That in itself make the album's wiritng superior to blonde

One of the things that I enjoy about Frank (and artists in general who can do this) are people who can convey a message without over-explaining something. I personally enjoy cO more than Blonde but different strokes for different folks both solid albums.

I prefer Blonde. But it's easy to see why people hold on to CO so much, it's accessible, ambitious and big whilst Blonde is more pulled back and personal. When Channel Orange first dropped it was like my generations response to Stevie's Songs In The Key of Life, which so happens to be my and several other peoples favorite album of all time. So I get it, CO has a big advantage since it's built off the greats and is catchier than a mfer.

His imagery and story telling on that album is unmatched.

Blonde has amazing song writing too so it’s honestly down to preference.

The stretch from Close to You - Godspeed is f***ing unmatched. I remember its release vividly, just gone thru a hard break up and when the album hit track number 13. Man.... I was f***ing gone
