this kind of over the top d***riding makes me over critical of an album, i otherwise, largely enjoy.

the circlejerk this album makes me feel like i’m missing out on something even tho i think this is a monumental record. when i hear people want to desperately try to compare this to older “classic” albums i get so confused tho.

it interpolates and references a lot of amazing ground breaking artists. it completely ignores genre completely and has sound design above “industry standard”. it’s a classic, with or without the extra noise.

however this exaggerated fanfare reads like those rick and morty copypasta’s
the comparisons to older artists read less like you guys care about the interaction between these artists and more like y’all just wanna justify this 10/10 score you gave it in your mind.

wonder how long it will take to treat this album as it is. a piece of art created by a human being. this “divine” larger than life schtick got old super fast. it’s approaching 5 years like damn

idk you’d be hard pressed to find 10 other albums that the description in op applies to.

Seems like I'm one of the very, very few with this opinion but for me Blonde is unlistenable

well yeah they’re not songs they’re part of the project as a whole obviously but to say that the album can stand without them is something i can’t agree with because they represent specific examples of what frank writes about and it kinda brings the album’s writing into tangibility instead of leaving it in the muddy metaphors frank writes
