If we leave out all the critical acclaim and opinions from blog writers, Burna Boys African Giant can go toe to toe with blonde
I completely agree
Seems like I'm one of the very, very few with this opinion but for me Blonde is unlistenable
No you’re just a known contrarian
well yeah they’re not songs they’re part of the project as a whole obviously but to say that the album can stand without them is something i can’t agree with because they represent specific examples of what frank writes about and it kinda brings the album’s writing into tangibility instead of leaving it in the muddy metaphors frank writes
Agree to disagree, they make me cringe whenever they come on personally. Shame I can’t delete them from my Black Friday vinyl

lmao
OP thinks Blonde is better than What's Going On i'm shaking and crying
they turned on him bruh
That album gets first page on any thread discussing the best albums oat on this site to this day
OP thinks Blonde is better than What's Going On i'm shaking and crying
it's okay

Love that album but nah lol
What I learned from this website is that I can just say any acclaimed album is amazing and I’ll be sure to have a hit thread in no time

False. I just can't stand that album, it's insanely boring in my opinion. Frank Ocean isn't for me I guess, but I dig some songs on CO
also @Aftermathbws is right in saying, black messiah is the better album of the 2010’s.
one thing frank does that d’angelo doesn’t ?
define the era. d’angelo albums are a masterclass in music, he’s one of the few that are on that authentic “prince” level.
but frank breaks cultural boundaries in ways few artists can. he really does help define the minimalist, lonely, isolated moment we’re in, especially as young people.
for this alone i’ll always understand why people return to blonde more frequently. but imo black messiah is the best album of the 2010’s.
MBDTF and Blonde tied for 2nd place

Best take in this thread IMO
Blonde is a great album, it’s only overrated in comparison because most of the music coming out now is garbage so it’s seen as 100x better
goodness gracious why does ktt think blonde is the pinnacle of music
A lot of us were like 15-18 and it was the best album from then and th hoes cosigned it
Its going to age extremely well. The production and sound of Blonde fits in no specific time or era of music, its really one of the most unique albums I've heard
