Damn really? I wonder how you approached it. For me I remember I was kinda close to him a lot. He’d do that jumping thing with his sack and I’d just sorta walk around it and chip away at damage. I don’t remember how I did it now it’s been a while but I guess I just got lucky. It was my third playthrough of the game so maybe I just got the hang of everything.

The BIGGEST tip someone gave me was to just literally run past the grunts. Unless you need to grind or someone is blocking your progress then just skip em. Especially if you just keep dying over and over.

Also, patience patience patience. This game is more aggressive than Dark Souls but you still can't just go in. You can really exploit the enemy patterns cuz most of them have obvious wind ups for their attacks.

Once you're able to upgrade your weapons and strength you can just start shredding the basic enemies.

You were 100% right. When I originally told you that, I thought I beat the first boss but I was actually way before that. Getting the the third bonfire was a nonstop thrill ride of fear, and adrenaline and beating the actual first boss on my first try was invigorating. I'm addicted to the game but havent progressed too far.

that’s awesome fam. I was like you. I couldn’t get past the first area and I was sorta lost then my friend gave me that tip. I actually dropped the game for like 6 months before going back into it when I first got the game. I’ve now beat it three times. The deeper you go the more exciting it gets. Every time you find a short cut your brain kinda explodes a bit.
Really one of my favourite games ever and I think the challenge (while still hard don’t get me wrong) is a little overrated. You just have to figure out how the enemy AI moves but they all have patterns like any game. You can’t be greedy when attacking which is why the game can be so exhilarating.

she's kinda easy though lowkey. are you tryna kill the spawn things ? i found that just finding her in the corners is easy as hell then smashing her and killing the spawn things when needed.

Hmm. I wonder if it's the part in the cathedral ward where you take the elevator to the right upwards. There's an area where you have to purposely fall down carefully on some wooden planks and it's not very clear cuz it's kinda dark.

Did you ever get to the bloodstarved beast?

edit: nvm you said you got mad deep so you must be farther than that.

My memory is hazy tbh on where Witch of Hemwick leads but i don't think you're in an optional area.

Go back to the cathedral ward and go take the area to the right and instead of entering the strucure go to the right and there's like crumbled section you gotta drop down from. in there's there's that dark room im talking about. there's actually a door you can reach before you can make it to the very bottom. just gotta find the right plank and gotta have enough health too lel.

tbh there's probably gonna be stuff you might miss on ur first run. stuff is sneaky. i always comb areas (as best i can) when i play games though so i found that area. also pay attention to holes in elevators.

Also i just watched a video and i totally misremembered where the right side elevator in Catherdral ward leads to and where that drop down part leads to so ur just gonna have to explore that urself if you want.

decided to restart again and made it up to where I was at on my previous saved. killed spider-man, then s*** pops off. The Kirkhammer . the combat,bosses,weapon's and gear. And the soundtrack, the scary-ness of . This game gave me like 6 jumpscare's while I have my headphone's on.

The environment's and the dodging, parry, visceral backstab into critical hit

Just started this today. Hoy s*** this is hard! I tried to beat the first boss for like two hours before quitting. This is the first game I've played that doesn't tell you what to do, which is kinda cool but frustrating at the same time. So idek if I'm going into the boss properly prepared. Looking forward to keep playing it though
