doing the first chalice dungeon and I’m killing this s***.. nothing more satisfying than getting better at this game
Lol just wait
I NEED a bloodborne two, or at least give me a new fromsoft game heavily inspired by BB's combat and trick weapons
20 weapons with unique trick modes >>> 100+ different swords
aight bet imma get over myself & ignore the 30 fps
last playthrough I stopped at the witch of hemwick..excited to see what I missed out on
Beat Orphan of Kos after 2 tries. First time with the Beast Cutter. He was moving too fast couldn’t get enough damage in with it. Second round switched to Whirligig Saw
A few close calls, but with the whirligig saw I was able to stagger him pretty consistently until his second phase. After that his attacks were easy to dodge. Even though he moves fast, Elden Ring bosses were faster so s*** was practically slow motion for me
Now all that’s remaining is Gerhman and the secret boss.
Gehrman dead first round.
Moon Presence all that’s left. Do I need to kill the Pthunermian queen in the chalice dungeons for the plat, or is moon presence it?
Got the platinum
Overall enjoyed the game. I like the combat a lot better than Elden Ring. Story wise left a lot to be desired tbh. Even watching all those lore videos, it’s still kinda hard to understand wtf was going on. Like Elden Ring was my first FromSoft game I beat, so it prepared me for how they do their story telling. But in this it’s still so fragmented s*** was hard to follow really until you got to the dlc which make some things come into focus. Still it was honestly poorly designed imho. I don’t need to be spoon fed the story but what they did here wasn’t enough.
Love the weapons, and overall aesthetic of the game. Beast Cutter + Whirligig Saw were my main 2 weapons. I’d definitely look forward to a sequel if they announced one. I think this is the first game I’ve ever went for the plat. I’m no much of an achievement chaser when it comes to games at all. might do another play through some day.

nightmare frontier cursed area
Things are looking bright for a PC port tbh. I think they're waiting to see how this PS5 lull plays out to drive up hype for a remastered version.
If they make this s*** an Epic exclusive though me and Kenichiro Yoshida are gonna have to throw hands.

Wtf I dropped the game and haven't played in months because I'm stuck on OoK and you beat him in two attempts What level were you?
I agree about the plot, it's TOO obscure. Good story but the way the story is told is lacking. I shouldn't have to watch 40 minute lore videos to understand the story of your game

I was 113 when I got to Orphan of Kos. 10+ whirligig saw with phys atk up 26-27% gems x3
Elden Ring was my first From Software game, and now I'm playing Sekiro on Xbox Series S. I have heard a lot of good things about Bloodborne so I'm getting curious about this one too but unfortunately I don't have a Playstation 4 or 5. Would be dope if this launched on more consoles.

I think I'm about the same level or even higher using LHB with a Str/Ski build. It's probably the gems making the difference, I think my highest is about 18%. All my cursed ones have s***ty effects so I can't use them I've seen Kos' second phase once or twice in about 20 attempts
Great job on getting the Platinum. I only have like 10 trophies left but they're all going to be a mission to get
Are the starter weapons just the best weapons? I started with the axe and I've tried and upgraded both the kirkhammer and Ludwig's Holy Blade and the axe just feels so much better in pretty much every situation so far.

All the weapons in Bloodborne are great, it really just boils down to preference. I used the Saw Cleaver 90% of the time. Some really cool weapons in the DLC too.

All three starter weapons are viable for the whole game tbh, bloodborne might not have a huge number of weapons but every single one is good in their own way
Glad you’re enjoying it so far, make sure you cop the DLC too if you haven’t already
this game is really amazing
first FS game i've gotten into, surprisingly easy though. i thought i would struggle way more with what i've been reading about it since it dropped

Can't lie I used the Hunter Axe for almost all of my first playthrough, the spin attack is basically unmatched, 'spin 2 win' was a big meme at the time
Mixing up your weapons is fun tho, and there are some with affinity damage that are much better than others at certain situations

Saw spear is basically an upgrade of the saw cleaver and for ease of use and bonus serrated damage I would say it’s the best weapon in the game.
