Replaying this rn after 5 or 6 years and man, it’s still great but goddamn does it need a remaster ASAP because this s*** looks ROUGH in a lot of places.
Also, it’s crazy how much easier this game is after beating Elden Ring. I remember first playing this how I was terrified of almost everything, but now I’m just f***ing everyone up.
Played it for the first time last week it looks wonderful lol
To the left to the left
literally just walked to his left every time and did an unintentional no hit
Put on the eye rune, the other rune that gives you more souls (or whatever it's called) and it's easier. Get what you mean about it being a nuisance, but combat is so much fun that I didn't mind Would practice my parry timings because I barely used it in the game
How was Lady Maria for you? That took me forever, but eventually I got her parry timings down. Still took a couple attempts after that because her third phase
Look up the endings, there's a secret boss after Gherman if you eat 3 umbilical cords before you kill him
And I'd try to get the Platinum, it's not that difficult. You probably just need to get some hunter's items you missed, do some chalice dungeons to kill the Pthuemerian queen and get all the endings. Use PS Plus or a flash drive to save your game just before the ending and before you eat 3 umbilical cords to get all the endings in one playthrough
Yea I’m using those runes and killing the fatass hogs at Margo’s Loft lol. Just ordered some food and decided to farm a little waiting for it and got like 80 vials and went up a level
Maria was definitely hard but fun, once I got good at parrying her s*** was pretty lit. I was sliding through the first phase soooo easily by that point.
I’m prob not gonna go for the platinum tbh because I wanna run through the whole Soulsborne series and that’s just gonna take forever if I do that for all of them and honestly there’s been a couple late game parts that I’ve kind of ran through without exploring a ton and fighting the enemies cuz I’ve wanted to get to the bosses
100
Exaggerating
Laurence was the hardest boss btw fat b**** took me 9 tries
I didn’t think he was very hard tbh

It varies from person to person. Orphan took me 5 tries

I beat him in one try Maria, OoK and Ludwig were far harder imo

Ain't no way all them were food compared to fiery hoe
It’s not that it’s difficult to farm or anything, it’s just that it’s kind of a nuisance 10 minute chore
I got OoK down to like probably one fifth of his health tonight and I didn’t too many times really, I usually play better in the morning so hoping I can finish him up early and the game, just got Gherman left
Took Orphan of Kos down after just a few tries this morning
Supposed hardest boss in the Soulsborne franchise has been slain

Idk if he's the hardest but Orphan is one of the most fun and that feeling of slaying those bosses and making progress is This was my first FromSoft game and it was definitely an experience.

Can’t decide if I wanna do Sekiro of the Souls series after this

Man Sekiro that first time was another level, it feels different and the learning curve will be there. But its so good
BB>Sekiro>DS3 imo

Bloodborne the only Souls game I played from start to finish and this is how I plan to play the other games
DS1 to DS3 (skipping DS2) to Sekiro to Elden Ring
Gonna be hard to go back to DS1 after playing the others. ER a huge game and I've heard people say the other games are easier if they played ER first. Skipping DS2 because I played most of it years ago and the consensus is that it has the most issues. Never playing Demons Souls, that half health feature sounds ass

Half health feature? What’s that
Elden Ring is goated btw

I got Sekiro when it came out but I was in college then and didn’t get very far, feel like I’ll be a lot more patient and enjoy it now. Plus I love samurai type s***, Ghost of Tsushima is in my top 3 all time favs
Flying out of town for the week tomorrow so can’t decide if I wanna get started today or just wait

If you die in Demon's Souls, your maximum health is capped at half until you beat a boss There are ways to counteract it and people who play the game say it's not that bad, but f*** that. I'm never playing it, my Soulsborne journey just gonna begin at Dark Souls
Would love to play Elden Ring, but I just don't have the time

Just wait imo, I personally hate that feeling where you're in the mood to play a game but can't. Actually feeling that with GoT right now, really want to play but I got exams in a few days I haven't started studying for
Did NOT realize how few enemies there are weak to righteous damage, and honestly thought there were more beast enemies weak to serrated damage too.
Those mechanics seem like an incomplete idea now.
Every run of the mill PS exclusive getting their PC port except Bloodborne (and Demons Souls) is like actually insulting
I’m back to supporting this viewpoint
Having to farm for vials so I can fight Orphan of Kos 100 times is annoying as hell
Just do cumm dungeon n buy all the vials n bullets you’ll ever need
