Finally reading LOTR, the one series that's been eating away at me ever since I was a teen this would be crazy to read in 1950s bro

just started the second half of Return of the King

I'm kinda pushing through it at this point. reading the 3 books straight is a bit tiring and I'm ready to move on lol. that's always been my problem with fantasy series tbh

gotta finish LOTR soon so I can read the new George Saunders and Cormac McCarthy books dropping this month

Same lol I blasted Wind Up Bird Chronicle by Murakami in like a week and thats like 600 pages and now I can't pick up a book

Stoner is great, read it last year. one of those books that get better with time.

I have a rough time actually reading translated books. I'm super interested in Rumi but knowing there can be so much lost in translation feels like it takes away from the experience.

But I'll have no issues watching foreign films because at least I can see the acting and scenes
