anyone read Angel Down by Daniel Krauss?

kinda interested in checking it out cause it just won the Pulitzer for fiction. first horror novel to win since Cormac McCarthy's The Road in 2006. haven't heard much, only that it's a WWI horror story written with just one continuous run-on sentence

call me old fashioned but I like multiple sentences in my books, already got a neverending stream of consciousness going on in my head

reading the will to change by bell hooks

its a short book but each small passage i read brings up so much s*** from my past, my family's past, and how the construction of my psyche as a man was informed by so many things outside of me. and i look more carefully at how my words and actions can and have continued to facilitate a world that hurts others... im just left thinking...

  • okay I think I'm gonna read hard rain falling now. read the prologue last night and it was good.

  • Amazon slop is f***ing terrible wow. And the worst part is,it be some booktubers who are giving writing advice and churning out basura

  • Been going through a bit of a Le Guin kick atm and currently reading The Dispossessed, and man, I just love her writing so much.

The way she manages to not only balance simplicity with her prose, yet convey so much depth in her passages is truly something.

Reading a secret history by Donna tart. More like Donna fart, this s*** is mid can't lie. Got it blindly

Pacing is so ass. 100 pages in and history is still a f***in secret. Unless what I guess is true, which would be so basic. They hint at cult vibes, but man that's so predictable

The s*** thats set up in the prologue doesnt really hit since I don't like bunny as a character. Seems like I'm reading a book about a lame trying to assimilate with other lames. I'm not gonna drop it cause I paid money for this book tho. But can't wait to be done with this

read a short stay in hell by steven l peck. only a 100 page novella you can read it in a sitting fairly easily.

one of the best books ive read been thinking about it everyday since.

its about a guy who goes to hell but hell is a absolutely massive library and he has to find the book with his life story in it to get out.

Had a booktuber recommend it and the premise sounds intriguing. I seriously need to look into it now
