I stole it out my aunt's library great book. Chinua Achebe one of the best to ever do it.
Yo, I think you'd like reading some Bessie Head books.
Currently on my second book by her; When Rain Clouds Gather. It's so beautifully written. First one was A Question of Power on African femininity and mental issues

Just finished The Memory Police by Yoko Ogawa.
Fantastic little dystopian novel. Also has a really interesting novel within a novel (the MC is a writer).
Hurricane Season by Fernanda Melchor is also a legitimately f***ed up horror novel about a local witch who turns up murdered in a small village in Mexico.
Starting Aesthetic Theory by Adorno wit my girl...
Should be done by august, s*** seems like one of those books you take section by section
read the first 100 pages of normal people today dk why people hate on this novel i thought it was really good so far
saw some high praise for this book in this sxn so I decided to check it out. finished it yesterday and it was some mid. the best part of the book is probably the motorcycle ride itself and the narrative between the main character and his son. most of the philosophy drones on and the narrator during those parts sounds pretty pretentious. definitely not exactly a light read,
Couldn't get into this one too unfortunately
Now reading The looting machine by Tom Burgis. The growth delusion was a good read and explained a lot of the problems with GDP as an economic measure
