    Love Half Priced Books

Have never heard of 2nd & Charles though so thank you for putting me on and thank you for such a thoughtful response

2nd & Charles is a lot like HPB. I think both of them are regional though. I lived in the south and we had 2nd&C stores all over, but when I moved north/midwest, i finally saw a HPB for the first time and dont think ive seen a single 2&C haha

This isn't on you because I should have specified but I am dealing with a medical issue that makes it near impossible to leave my home currently

There are actually some incredible libraries (and local bookstores @DS2 good looks on getting me to remember that too) in my area though and I never took enough advantage of when I was healthy so this post is a great reminder that I got to change that and all the more motivation to do everything I can to overcome my health issues so that I can

Thank you fr for this post, sometimes the smallest/simplest of stuff really is a game changer for me

I don't go to my library (Edit: I'm agoraphobic so I feel you but not really feel you). I just order my books to my house. If you give them a ring they usually have this service for the disabled and elderly. No one ever asks them

Same with pharmacies. There are good intermediary apps - your state/county/borough may be better placed to help

Love learning about more regional things so I definitely will look into this more, thank you

I've had to do a lot of self advocacy to get what I need for my disability and you're right I never even thought to inquire about services like the ones you mentioned, both for libraries and pharmacies

Might open a lot up for me so I gotta change that soon, preciate it

Book section putting me on crazy rn

Wow. This made me cry. Good luck to you! ❤️
I at no point meant to be hostile and downplay your self advocacy - I really think everyone should use 1 service in their local library. I'm worried about them going extinct by the time we have kids

They're the unsung heroes of communities IMO

Nah you never were hostile, don't sweat that at all please

I think there was just a breakdown somewhere in our communication

And I hope there was no difficulty in those tears and if there was I apologize for bringing them all

I have a lot of love for libraries and you brought them back to my mind

Plus the pharmacy tip is extremely helpful and something I wasn't considering either

Plus KTT has been one of my best safety nets through a time that's been filled with nothing but life threatening situations and suffering and one of the main ways it's lifted me is giving me people to talk every single day and interesting things to talk about so I have nothing but appreciation for our exchange and almost every exchange I have on here

Just drag and drop last time I used one. The Kindle should just open like a thumb drive in your explorer. Put MOBI files in the My Books folder iirc
