Yeah I saw it again yesterday and even when I found all moments like that pretty corny it did give me those heart warming moments I felt as a kid watching all these sports movies growing up

I love how clean this movie looks too, really makes the F1 division of racing seem larger than life or highest quality of driving

not as good as maverick, but a good time! opening race and last race were soooo good

I finally saw this in IMAX yesterday. What a thrilling and fun experience. This might be top 10 of the year for me so far, based purely off the racing sequences.

I don’t think this is a well oiled machine like Top Gun: Maverick, but damn is it fun. We need more movies like this — movies that embrace traditional filmmaking. Between Top Gun: Maverick, Twisters, and F1, I have hope.

Wow this was visual/audio experience for sure. One of if not the cleanest image I’ve seen in imax laser.

I will say, towards the end after Hayes crash, and they’re getting ready for the final race, and Pearce comes with the socks for the team to jog around the track, that didn’t feel like he earned it tbh. Most of the movie spent the time showing he was sorta disconnected from the team, never really bonded with any of them. So seeing them all come to jog with him felt a lil cheap.

IMO same with him just deciding he’s best buds with sonny, we got one kinda make up scene at poker and him reviewing his film but the real emotional or connective beats that they’re cool now weren’t really there. Sonny was still being an ass even when JP came around on him

Agreed. Also had me wondering what Simone Ashley’s role was suppose to be? She was completely cut from the movie. Damson’s love interest? If so might be why it felt like Damson’s character was a tad bit undercooked.

This was bad. Nothing past the opening scene is of merit. Terrible dialogue. Terrible writing. Terrible editing. Some cool car shots along the way but that’s it. Offensively mid.
