After watchin Zeltik's 30 min breakdown of the trailer, there are so many new things in this I missed
Seems to be a lot of new content to get hyped about - new and returning (returning from previous games I mean) enemies and bosses, areas, lore easter eggs
This actually looks so cool man
Also, the fact that Link drops from the Sky Island back into Hyrule without a loading screen is amazing. How will they get a game this huge to run on the switch man

That extra $10 must be putting in work.

I'm in EU, Switch games always been expensive as hell here, more expensive than in the US
So the price hike doesn't bother me 1%

Canadian, same
LOL the whole artbook leaked 3 months before release
Beware of spoilers y'all, if you want to discuss them here pls use spoiler tags for images and discussion
I checked out the leak and it gave me a lil' more faith in the originality/identity of this game because so far the trailers have been pretty underwhelming BotW DLC and Nintendo still seem to be holding back on a lot of info when it comes to this game.
i’m not a fan of botw
i wish i could’ve gotten into it
i love majora's mask and ocarina of time so much too

I mean regardless of its status, it is very different from the previous 3d zeldas, it was their main objective too - redefining the conventions set with oot - and if you loved oot and mm its no guarantee you'd love botw. I think that you need to play this game with an open mind and welcome all its unique mechanics: weapon durability for example, which many just couldnt accept because of preconceived notions. Doesnt mean you have to like what they changed from the decade long formula, but keeping an open mind and not trying to pit the game against some standards it actively doesnt want to chase is key imo. I remember being very lukewarm at the first gameplay showing at E3 2016, my Zelda couldnt have cooking and climbing this aint Assassin's Creed or Minecraft! But as trailers dropped and as i kept playing the game i understood what they were going for and although different from the previous 3d entries, it was a welcome and exiciting new direction for Zelda (because yes unlike what some people seem to think botw is very much a true Zelda game, its actually closer to the original nes game's feel than the oot inspired games too).
Ultimately a fan's biggest curse is often being too bound to what you like about that thing you're passionate about and are quite averse to change for fear of losing that passion
Always think of Tears in the Club when I see the title
Every single time, it doesnt help that I keep referring to it as botw 2 either

Yeah the artbook got me way more excited for the game then any of the trailers did. Craziest part is that the artbook doesn't even contain everything so the game is gonna be even more massive then we originally thought.

Only 2 Zelda games I've played are the first one and BOTW and the similarities are pretty striking honesrly it's very faithful to the original
still need to play the other games in the series but I thought it was interesting

You should play ocarina of time and majoras mask with 4k upscaled texture packs the MM Pack by nerrel is incredible
It’s the same game with platforms in the sky
Yeah I think someone has to play this game first before it can be said.
What do we have? 3 minutes of gameplay maybe?
Doubt the team spent 5 years building sky platforms and said we're good
It’s the same game with platforms in the sky
Ive seen the artbook leaks, its far from just that, and many others can testify to that

They specifically wanted to return to the actual roots of the series and forego any conventions they had set for themselves in the last 20 years. But many just couldnt and still cant accept that they let go of the formula set by ocarina of time and that the subsequent 4 games used so they refuse to call botw a "true Zelda" which is funny and stupid since its the closest to the original actually. Having said that, Zelda is a massive series, most of them are different from one another and a lot of them are all timers. I cant even list which ones you have to play because all of them are worth at least a try and are a lesson in gaming history. Dont forget the 2d titles tho, just because they're not 3d they arent lesser games, far from it.

Eventually I'll play them
I want to go on a Zelda marathon at some point

That's super interesting actually thanks
and I'm not gonna avoid the 2d ones for sure, Link to the Past looks so charming it would be a shame not to play it
