Absolutely i only recently realized u could change the properties of chuchu jellies and I never even thought of using octo balloons to make custom vehicles before seeing a video about it
gameplay is so deep man I keep finding out stuff 4 years after getting this game
Exactly and seeing how they’re building on all of that and nurturing the creative ideas of the community with the sequel? We’re in for something special

I just know it's gonna be botw turned up to 11 man
so in
could see this getting like 97 or higher on metacritic
8 big dungeons filled with mind-bending puzzles
exploring the skies of hyrule on your hovercraft
the soundtrack on this game gonna be impeccable based on the trailers

I think it'll get a 94/95, 97 imo is off limits cause of the usual "its held back by hardware" criticism and some are bound not to love reusing hyrule that much. But a 94 would be an incredible score regardless
They call her FlowerBlight Ganon

(This is a mod btw you don't actually get to fight her but you can piss her off)

"players' freedom of imagination will change the game world"
I wonder if we can literally change the overworld, would make hyrule's reuse even more logical

Imagine they cram an entire Animal Crossing game into this
I mean, it’s feasible. They have a lot of the mechanics (fishing, catching bugs, scrounging for plants). It’d be awesome to have a home base or even an entire town that you could customize. Like Fallout 4, but actually good.

Imagine they took a page out of Minecraft and made literally the entire world destructible. Like you could literally just dig to the core.

Tarrey Town was a non-interactive version of animal crossing new horizons so i can see them building off of that with another village you have to rebuild, but this time more hands on. But from aonuma's words It feels like changing the game world Is more substantial, like idk lifting portions of terrain from the ground into the sky to lift yourself up to the Sky kingdom and at the same time revealing entrances to the underground for example, or maybe causing potential floods in certain areas (in botw, the effect of rain creating ponds throughout hyrule was achieved through lifting a layer of water located underground, that could be expanded too, people have started to theorize about limited time travel so that too. I dont know if this is exactly what aonuma meant, but im sure its something as significant to the overworld as my examples
Got everything but ALL korok seeds the other night
All shrines, max inventory upgrades, max upgrades on all the cool outfits, both dlcs done. I'm ready.
Unless they bring the heat with the promotion of this game in the next month I will consider it a disrespect to the franchise to be this vague about the sequel to one of the biggest games of all time.

They will, 100%.
Though, to be fair, this is about as safe a game to preorder as you can possibly get.

They probably are vague because of what you wrote at the end
Look at the preorder numbers, i dont think theres any game in history with this many preorders and almost non-existent marketing.
Tbh at this point we're so close to release im good without any trailer or showcase, first playthrough could be very special because of it

I'm getting the game either way for sure but my purchase is (at this point) simply based on my faith in Nintendo not to fumble the bag with a Zelda game, especially not when it's a sequel to one of their best, if not the best, Zelda game.
Most of the footage they've shown so far doesn't look that distinct from BotW, which makes the game at least 'look' underwhelming. This doesn't necessarily mean that the game will lack distinction and its own identity, it just feels like what they've shown so far is not doing a good job of showing why we or the general public should care about going back to the same Hyrule again, on the same outdated hardware, with the same dusty Pro controller, after already putting in hundreds of hours into BotW and its DLC.
I'm sure the game will probably turn out great. My main contention is how they are approaching the marketing/promotion of this game. What they've shown so far has been (overall) too vague and too similar to BotW. Bring the heat! Show us why this game is going to be epic! Don't just rely on "Zelda fans are going to buy it anyways". Show this game the same passion that you showed BotW.

Wait I had no idea ponds would form during rain fall in botw

Apparently they wanted to be as secretive for botw but Nintendo of America convinced them to give out more info on it

For sure, the game is going to sell either way because of BotW's legacy and the lasting impression it left on its players. Still I feel like the trailers so far are not doing the game justice. They haven't done a good job of showing us what makes this game so special besides the sky, generally speaking.
When BotW was being promoted, everything about it was new (the world, the enemies, the characters, the combat, the Sheikah mechanics) so whenever we were shown ANYTHING at all from BotW, it was always new, it was always fresh and it was always intriguing. In Tears of the Kingdom however, in most of the trailers we are seeing the same things we saw in BotW, but now with some sprinkles on it. For this reason I feel like TotK has a bigger burden to prove itself and its distinction from BotW and why it deserves to be its own title rather than just another DLC.
235 korok seeds to go I'm locked in
GG man. I think I got like 500 Korok seeds before I stopped :chanlaff:
