Horizon is a bad game tho

I think the combat's genuinely great, beautiful visuals, world design is really cool, I like the story, it's a real dialogue-skipper though with pretty much every side quest, and the controls feel a bit fundamentally awkward, but I'm having a good time with it overall, not as much as I did with the first one so far though

Saw it pre-owned at a crazy good price and thought 'why not', I agree with the Dunkey vid where he's like 'This has to be the last one of these, no more of these kinds of games', but I'll see if it gets more interesting as it goes on

DLC coming in less than a month now. I never got into Horizon but Creed like and Far Cry formula I am gassed out on

This style is probably more fresh now but I think its just another route for open world games to go, sandbox games probably will never replace traditional mission based structure. Its not really a coincidence why this and Elden Ring are so light on a forefront narrative

Zero Dawn is terrible but forbidden west is alright actually, they improved a lot of things like the combat and the writing

I might actually I only have joy cons and a GameCube imitation controller and neither are particularly good

The shrines are a lot more inventive than most of the vanilla shrines too

Tbh I don't need more info right now. I certainly did before the gameplay showcase we got but now I'm satisfied and I don't mind leaving the rest for my own discovery.

The fact that the mini-map now shows specific coordinates wherever you go in this game, even how far up in the sky you are I hope this will be used to some extent for treasure hunting or locating certain places. Perhaps you find some coordinates and you make your way there and find some secret or a Korok or what not.

Yeah in about 2 weeks apparently find it. Hard to believe but apparently the source already got a bunch of stuff correct in the past

Exactly. That would be so dope. Let's say I find a really cool weapon or some unique material at some little distant island somewhere in the sky and then you be like "ay man that thing fire where did you get it" and then I send you the coordinates

Its such a great way to encourage interaction between players tbh I know this isn't that groundbreaking and games have done it better (from software, death stranding) but I think its cool still
