I'm pretty sure this is actually legit, high RF exposure has been correlated with increased number of tumors in different animal studies. but they're gonna hide the data until we as a society can't ignore increasing cancer rates. and on top of that, the amount of technology today's people are exposed to even on average is probably very dangerous. so I don't know what can really even be done

We investigated whether cellular phone use was associated with increased risk of tumors using a meta-analysis of case-control studies. PubMed and EMBASE were searched from inception to July 2018. The primary outcome was the risk of tumors by cellular phone use, which was measured by pooling each odds ratio (OR) and its 95% confidence interval (CI). In a meta-analysis of 46 case-control studies, compared with never or rarely having used a cellular phone, regular use was not associated with tumor risk in the random-effects meta-analysis. However, in the subgroup meta-analysis by research group, there was a statistically significant positive association (harmful effect) in the Hardell et al. studies (OR, 1.15—95% CI, 1.00 to 1.33— n = 10), a statistically significant negative association (beneficial effect) in the INTERPHONE-related studies (case-control studies from 13 countries coordinated by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC); (OR, 0.81—95% CI, 0.75 to 0.89—n = 9), and no statistically significant association in other research groups’ studies. Further, cellular phone use with cumulative call time more than 1000 h statistically significantly increased the risk of tumors. This comprehensive meta-analysis of case-control studies found evidence that linked cellular phone use to increased tumor risk"
f*** can i get a tl:dr

Watch the life expectancy of our generation be like 55-60 as opposed to 70-80
It’s the juuls and s*** y’all need to worry about first tbh
Being directly in your ear and that close to your eardrums as opposed to over ear headphones.
are you talking hearing damage-wise?
kinda crazy how normalized it is to just blast music in earbuds at super high volumes tbh. especially if you live in a city or something, everyone trying to block out all the other noise

seems to me like it's just the typical misconceptions or psuedoscience/conspiracy about EMF or RF radiation. you can similar theories for stuff like cell phones, wifi, am/fm radio waves.
seems to come from an idea that "radiation = bad", so people find out there is radiation from these things and just think its causing you cancer and its being covered up. i'm not a scientist or anything but it seems to me like the RF radiation from AirPods is very low level and non-ionizing (apparently ionizing is a harmful kind, more powerful). visible light is also non-ionizing radiation. ofc at high levels the RF radiation can be harmful, like those giant ass antennas. you can burn yourself in the microwave via radiation, but that doesnt mean any low level of radiation is also significant/harmful to your body.
if you read any of the reputable sources about this topic (ex: science or educational institution) they pretty much say the same thing. because of how science works, they aren't really saying "we are 100% sure" yet and they are always leaving open a possibility, but with all the research done into it there has never been a proven link for RF or EMF radiation/cellphones/etc. to cancer in humans or anything like that. and it's not like it's a brand new topic either, sure airpods are relatively recent themselves but it's not like they were some groundbreaking new technology just unleashed into the public without any real research. straying a little off topic here but people are also sometimes misled by wording like "possibly carcinogenic" to describe things that have no proof to be carcinogenic but not proven 100% otherwise. for some more context, i'm pretty sure coffee and pickles were only downgraded recently from the "possibly carcinogenic" category by the International Agency for Research on Cancer
so basically its science people on one side saying "no we haven't found anything to suggest its harmful", and the other side is Roman bust avy social media users that say "dude look its radioactive, and I bet its even worse if you hold it up to your face!"

damn I see
I guess I can see that
you know I get peoples fear of course, I feel like that’s where my very reactionary comments towards technology can stem from
just fear of the unknown, and I’m very technologically lacking myself for my age, So fear is always kind of my first reaction
I guess it’s just best we take everything we can make our own opinion
also I just wanted to say I really genuinely appreciate the courtesy behind writing that comment, it’s not decency many would show on here so ty fr
Opinion discarded
