It is insane how good of a writer Ka is. I really don't know how many other artists in music in general are on his level.

Probably an artistic genius. The consistency of his albums is mind-blowing honestly. He never compromises any part of his art and somehow evolves every project

Kinda disheartening word on Metal Clergy:

"And your right hand man Ka just dropped an album. We always talk about you having these projects just tucked away, like one with Roc and Ka’s duo Metal Clergy. Is that record happening this year?

We’re going to try. It’s all a matter of sitting down and doing it and collecting the vibes, because we’ve both grown a lot since our first projects. When people start to get into their zone, sometimes it’s not easy to meet in the middle and find beats that we both love. So it’s not as easy as it might have been eight to 10 years ago. Ka is on some total different s*** right now. If you listen to Ka’s album, you can tell his style has gotten even more sparse with his sound.

Yeah. I was going to say “dark.”

Yeah, exactly. Usually tracks that I’m in love with, Ka is like, “Nah, I love this one.” So we'll see. Either way, we got more records together. If it happens, it happens.

Ka really has 3 seminal meditations on money, d*** dealing, and love: $, 30 Keys, and I Love (Mimi Moms Kevs). They’re all insanely emotionally nuanced and so profound. Crazy

Now that i’ve spent some time with it I’m beginning to think this could be one of if not his strongest solo works. His production is fantastic and better than ever, some of the territory he touches like P.R.A.Y., Old Justice, Every Now and Then is some of my fav production i’ve heard from anyone in a long time. I’ve always loved Ka the producer but this is a huge step forward for him in a great way.

And maybe it’s just me, but he sounds more comfortable and effortless than ever. His flow and cadence is so well refined and paired with his lyrics and songwriting, which i’m starting to think is Yen Lo level, is amazing.

This is probably his darkest, haziest and most emotional record too, from what Ive noticed. At times it feels mythical and lush, others forlorn and raw as most Ka records do but the mesh on this one works so well to me. Need more time and listens of course, but this one was definitely more immediate and provoking than Orpheus which took some time to really dig its roots for me. I also think the level of nuance and care he handles the biblical references and allegories with might be his strongest yet as far as his themes in records

i was kinda hesitant to call it what it is, but this might really be his best solo work so far

This is on point. The production is his most consistent, plus I love his more experimental beats on here. Verses are so dense and the theme is really well executed. And the unlisted Roc verse just tops it off
