That New York Serenade story is so wild beautiful. I can’t believe he pulled that one out AND With the string section?!
so dope. I am so glad your fam raised you with Bruce’s music, that is so sick. Really awesome story about your telling him thanks & his reaction
i’m sure he gets such a charge knowing you hers folks listen to his music.
And MAN your Aunt is the realest of all time. That is f***ing amazing & such a cool story about him splitting a tab with Bob Marley. I bet they had a great dinner, they both seem very pure hearted. 237 times…. She’s probably seen Bruce perform his entire discog at this point, so amazing do you know what year her first Bruce show was, if you don’t mind me asking?
Yuh MSG in 1973 she was 16 and Bruce opened for the band CHICAGO lmao. She said that Chicago didn’t stand a chance following up Bruce and the band…

Chicago
that’s so funny I could never get into them, I think they have one song but they are soft rock.. so f***ing funny, and Bruce always had so much energy to boot, I just know he rocked that s*** hard. MSG in 73… damn

Idk if you’ve ever peeped Brucebase but they are the Bible for Bruce info. Every recording session every live show/appearance/etc. I can spend days on that site.
I’m gonna knock in a few (almost midnight in NY) but I need your full review of the Belfast show when you’re done. Especially curious what you think of the version of Streets of Philadelphia. He slayed it

Yea dude I’m so glad you liked it. The devils and dust tour was even wilder considering he was solo but on more instruments than just the guitar and he dug so F***ing deep on that tour.
Sadly the Rising tour is only represented by one show. They can’t access the soundboard files. One of his best tours for sure…
And of course I highly recommend the ‘75-‘78 Nugs releases. Just unreal to hear full sets from that era. Have you watched the No Nukes film he put out 2 years ago? Jaw dropping

Dude I F***ING LOVE devils & dust album so much. Which concert would you recommend from that tour? Any one in particular?
Sucks about the Rising, I love that album so much, the Barcelona footage is excellent though!
I will def check out the 75-78 nugs releases. And I have only seen one song from that No Nukes film, I have to check that out forreal man I am f***ing up hard
@op hey bro I just wanted to geniunely ty for recommending the Belfast show & the Nugs subscription. Best $12 I have ever spent man. This Belfast show just gets better with each listen, and I haven’t even dived into any of his other live shows yet! Belfast is just so soothing & his stories in between songs are just amazing

Bro ofc! Sorry i meant to reply to you earlier. You know your denver show is on there too right?? All the 2023 and 2016-17 shows are up there and then there’s curated selections from the other tours
But I def recommend 8/3/2005 — Grand Rapids from the Devils and Dust shows. I mean… the setlist is just to die for.
@op this Belfast show, bro, I have not been able to put it down it’s so f***ing good.
His acoustic version of BITUSA blows the original out of the water & he is slinging d*** on that acoustic guitar playing it
Something To Believe is an INCREDIBLE version
And Streets of Philadelphia with those slow “li li’” is just perfection
I am seriously obsessed with this whole album bro ty so much. I would’ve never found this if it wasn’t for you
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for this album

I did know the Denver show was on there! I’ll def check out the Grand Rapids show man I love Devils & Dust that album kicks ass!!!! I’m sure the renditions are increidble!
Extreme old head here. Nebraska is maybe my fave album ever. Easily my fave of his and not like it’s easy to pick.
I didn’t even see your comment until now this is an amazing reply! Nebraska is so f***ing potent man
it’s just incredible, that was the album that got me into him. What’s your favorite on there? Min is probably Used Cars, those bells on the second verse
“Now some guys they just gives up living and start dying little by little piece by piece, some guys come home from work and wash up and go racing in the streets”
“She sits on the porch of her daddy's house, But all her pretty dreams are torn
She stares off alone into the night
With the eyes of one who hates for just being born”

“But now there's wrinkles around my baby's eyes, and she cries herself to sleep at night”

What a song writer, man
Your favorite record’s on the turn table
I drop a needle & pray
Turn it up
this whole album gets me so emotional
Currently reading his autobiography right now just patiently waiting the parts where he actually starts recording albums.. I need all the insight I can on Nebraska & Tunnel of Love
I bought the Belfast live show @op
I am about to cancel Nugs & just obsess over this one show for months
I still can’t get over it
“It’s the little things that count” @op
Brahhhh don’t cancel Nugs!! You have so much more to discover 😭😭
But I feel you. I have the Belfast show on my Apple Music, what I would have given to be there in person.
He did so many of those shows in small theaters and my aunt said getting tickets was a f***ing nightmare. They were $35.00 back in ‘95, deal of a lifetime.
@op bro we’re getting a Bruce interview during the We Are The World doc this month so exciting
bro I need to make him & MJ my next avy them standing next to eachother is so f***ing hard

all of darkness on the edge of town has been in rotation but heavy focus on streets of fire this week
