i am not American but i see zero reason a civilian should hold weapons
needs to be at least controlled a lot
You got police all across the world murdering minorities, governments that are essentially vessels for billionaires to exploit, and massive amounts of corruption and tyranny being imposed on people by their state...
...yet you think only the government should have guns
What sense does that make? Really?
You can have a gun and be good at using one but not feel passionate it?
All of the best instructors and firearm trainers have a serious passion for firearms
So do majority of rappers and producers
So do majority of race car drivers and cars
So do programmers and designers for video games
So do the best restaurants
Being completely utilitarian leads to mediocrity, look at McDonald's, look at low ene cars, etc.
That's the most one sided thing I heard in a while
tbh don't see the connection between creative forms with infinite room for expression & gun ownership where there's one way to do it right
You can have a gun and be good at using one but not feel passionate it?
yes, i think that should be the case
passion for the right to bear arms, about teaching others about it is fine w me, but being passionate about the act of using guns is p sus & just comes off as trigger-happy & opposite of the "professional" ideal you mentioned
idk why you didn't @ me if you're gonna reply to my post lol
quote me where i said you should never train with your weapon
obviously practice is part of proper gun ownership, which again, i have no problem with
you just rubbed me the wrong way with your "ktt couldn't POSSIBLY understand" line
i personally wouldn't describe having the power to kill or maim as something to be passionate about, but if you meant that as putting time into learning how to use it, you do you
I don't want to kill or hurt anyone, it's about self preservation. It's that simple
Like I said earlier, good marksmen who don't like guns and shooting are non existent.
I'm not some lowlife who has a gun merely to brandish whenever someone pisses me off.
Crazy you like anything in the world but liking firearms and appreciating their history is bad.

ight man tbh i think im just put off by how you phrased stuff earlier
i got no problem w anything in this post, you do you

People who like guns like to shoot
People who like fast cars like to drive hard
There's no practical need for fast cars yet they exist.
I just want to get good and proficient with weapon handling, somehow linking guns and enjoying the use of gun is insanity?
My uncle over at the states is always boastful about his guns. You can really see how tough he and his lunatic friends think they are when shooting. It is crazy how much are people are willing to let the country suffer only because they want to play with those deadly toys for their entertainment.

They're not hurting anyone, the majority of killings are done buy criminals
The majority of gun deaths are suicide, nice try but baseless
Also criminals don't go to the range
I've been thinking about getting a gun licence eventually although I know its harder in Aus, just a handgun for self defence maybe. If not some other type of protection

So you telling me it is a good thing everyone got guns over there?
Funny how me wanting a gun in a professional manner is off putting to this site.
This site is obviously 99% left would ban guns completely if they could.
But I see nothing wrong with wanting to better yourself. Having a gun is one thing but having wanting to master is a different ball game.
It's a passion that, ktt can't comprehend.
Having a gun for defense is fine, but wanting to ‘master’ a gun is weird bro. Pistols are boring, you literally just point them and shoot
You don’t see people trying to ‘master’ other basic defense items like pepper spray, that’s because people fetishize guns especially

Guns are fun to shoot and I support 2nd amendment but you're definitely a weirdo about it

Shooting at the range is fun af. The problem with op is he sounds excited about the chance to actually use it outside the range

Nah target shooting is fun and a lot of people compete too

Between recent events and historical precedent of mass shooters, Im coming to realize fists can only go so far in defending yourself in a country where guns outnumber people
99% of people who legally buy guns only shoot them s***s at ranges and will never use it for self defense.
I've been thinking about getting a gun licence eventually although I know its harder in Aus, just a handgun for self defence maybe. If not some other type of protection
i'm no expert but i'm like 90% sure that owning a gun for self-defense doesn't exist in Australia
