    Its shows you how big of a difference is between them and ovo when travs ONE single artist with 76k only outsells every last project put out by ovo put together besides drake, this includes party.

    The issue is ovo artists are doing literally worst than indie numbers without any indie benefits and most of them also express how they get f***ed around at ovo, again this includes party.

    Meanwhile dreamville and cactus jack artists are doing way better than ovo in terms of numbers and concert/festival appearances plus most of them are happy, so far from what they said.

    There is no excuse for ovo to be as bad as it is with the literal number 1 rapper in the genre and top 3 popularity wise in the genre of all time - its been enough time and they had plenty of artists on the roster.

    If it was 5 years or younger, and/or only had one or two artists on the label ever then it would be understandable.

    That is why the others arent clowned on as much, and also ovo always have artists leaving their label wether by their choice or getting dropped.

    It is one of the worst performing labels, that are a legit imprint, ever created and its years older than the other labels youre comparing it too, which makes it even worst.

    Drake is ahead of everyone else (pre 2024 ) while everyone else is ahead of Drake's label.

    @op

    Ovo would be critiqued even harder imo if it wasnt attached to Drake

    How big of a failure the label is for artists not named Drake is astounding

    I mean Don Toliver seems pretty popular. At least I know a lot of people who play his music a lot. I'm pretty whatever on him but he's not some no name.

    Dreamville is actually a great label full of talent who regularly release music. They're not "failures". They're working musicians. Dreamville does collab taps, they have a yearly festival, they have a regional base. Never heard an unkind word from any of their artists.

    The "sweatshop" allegations are about Drake only signing lesser than R&B acts to eat up their talent. S/o Weeknd for not signing his life away

    yea bro Bas and Cozz are definitely not lesser musicians and not failures at this current point in their career. the way you cornballs move goalposts are so funny
