Idk really where to post this. I don’t spend a lot of time in the tv and film sxn but it doesn’t seem like the place to create random threads to get off your hot takes like in music sxn. This thread seems like the closest thing to a daily discussion.

But Girls (HBO) is lowkey one of the most influential shows of the past couple of decades. Atlanta likely doesn’t happen without it. Insecure likely doesn’t. Master of None, Dave, Ramy, etc. All these half hour dramedies from a singular creative that have become so prevalent

That’s not to say Girls is an amazing show cause most of the shows I listed are better than it was, but the influence is crazy
