Freight 1STDAYOUTIdk really where to post this. I don’t spend a lot of time in the tv and film sxn but it doesn’t seem like the place to create random threads to get off your hot takes like in music sxn. This thread seems like the closest thing to a daily discussion.
But Girls (HBO) is lowkey one of the most influential shows of the past couple of decades. Atlanta likely doesn’t happen without it. Insecure likely doesn’t. Master of None, Dave, Ramy, etc. All these half hour dramedies from a singular creative that have become so prevalent
That’s not to say Girls is an amazing show cause most of the shows I listed are better than it was, but the influence is crazy
Real, it’s a good show with good writing and Adam Driver was electric from the jump. People ain’t gonna give it flowers cause Lena Dunham is cringe and all.

I don’t think anything above 8/10 came out that year.

By the way since things have cooled down by now, did u ever think of coming thru in Kino SXN again?? @Elric im about to start a new and improved Scavenger Hunt (with better weekly challenges that push us a bit more) and i would love for you to be there and peep whatever your lists is gonna be because i’m certain it would put me on to more stuff in my blind spot !

Did you make it a rule to separate art from artist in there? Did that annoying dude find out everyone in there is a fan of Polanski yet?

1 - seperate the art from the artist is in the stickied sxn rules thread
2 - theres a ban policy on sight for trolling the members or fighting
the one you think of barely posts and if he does im sure things have cooled down enough for it not to be a problem or else refer to 2 lol
