I've had chronically low levels for several years (18 - 25), and getting out in the sun every day doesn't seem to help enough
Whenever I supplement vitamin D3 though, it literally nukes my emotional state and focus; this gets worse with increasing dosage. Eventually I get extremely depressed, irritable, and can't sleep properly.
Magnesium barely helps this.
I took 2000 IU today and felt restless and fatigued at the same time. It's like I have no awareness of my surroundings at all, and my prescription Adderall was quickly rendered completely & utterly useless
Has anyone else experienced this?
You can’t just have Vitamin D3 supplements. You need to take vitamin K along with D3

I thought magnesium is what you're supposed to pair vitamin D with

I had it with vitamin K and these issues became infinitely worse

Without Vitamin K, magnesium or Vitamin D are not being absorbed properly.
D3 and Magnesium help with calcium but not with where they end up being absorbed

I was doing research on vit d etc. last year. Can’t remem s*** now tho, I think there’s two different measurements & when u increase ur level of one it decreases the other or something weird
Have u got ur genome checked to see if u have a genetic mutation related to it?

Damn imma have to look into this because I thought I was good off just pairing vitamin D and magnesium the last few years
Ask your physician not KTT brodie
You think they know s*** lmfao doctors in America are glorified therapists

I haven't but I heard those genome tests aren't super reliable anyways
& yeah many, many people have reported the same side effect profile as me but there's no concrete answer as to why this stuff occurs
I took 5,000 - 10,000 IU last summer for a month and felt full-blown suicidal for the first time in my life lmao

this.
my friend took vitamin d3 supplements without taking vitamin k with it for two years straight and now he’s paraplegic.. can’t move from the neck down. just woke up like that one day. pretty sad tbh.

I would try a different supplement then, not all are the same nor are they all good. Try D3Plus which has Vitamin K, magnesium and boron to synthesize with D3
I had cancer low Vitamin D levels then learned about how sun converts vitamin D to the body after hours in the sun everyday and D3 supplements. Was taking 50,000 now take around 10,000 - 20,000 UI.
Learned from my doctor that is
@op try a 10min sun exposure protocol instead. Just get outside in some shorts and lay front and back 5min each. it's a more natural way to get D and could help reduce or eliminate these negative symptoms u mentioned.
could even spend a longer time in the sun if it's early morning, the atmosphere cuts down on some of the UV damage and it's also healthy for sleep and setting your circadian rhythm

My man you’re the one saying Vitamin D makes you want to throw and kick things lmfao
Sounds like it might be an actual therapist that you need

Well to clarify, I've already asked my physician and he said he doesn't know but maybe to stick to sunlight
The majority of my experiences with doctors (including specialists) in the last 5-10 years has been legitimately terrible, WebMD level care; everyone around me has echoed this sentiment
I'm speaking as somebody who's currently trying to enter medical school, and with an exceptional transcript, not just a TikTok "aspirer"
Quality of care in America is extremely variable

Yeah I've been going on long walks in the sun every day for the past three months, and my levels went from 19 to 25 something, but this was after a yearly re-test so it was somewhat discouraging

Whenever I sweat I make sure I get extra salt that day, and have a banana every day basically
My sodium and potassium levels looked great on the bloodwork

Yeah this fax. During Covid I’d be shirtless outside bathing for a few minutes and it helped out a ton
