Also, I'm going to be honest bro, I highly highly doubt that Vitamin D3 supplements are making you feel this way. This is a chemical that is produced naturally in your body, and is also found in many foods. If I were you, I would just take 1000 IU daily, and stick with it.

I would also explore alternative causes to your symptoms (like potentially thyroid related, electrolyte related, cardiac, etc.)

Also, is Adderall a new medication for you? Or did you recently changes doses? Because this also sounds like a side effect of a stimulant like Adderall

Nah, been taking Adderall for little under a year now

This issue with Vitamin D has been for around two years now, on two different medications (Vyvanse and Adderall)

Neither have given me any notable side effects outside of the 2-week acclimation period

My bloodwork looks good, my physical looks good, the only thing I'm deficient in is Vitamin D but whenever I take it I react adversely; a lot of people have mentioned the same thing and I feel like it's a consistent enough pattern where placebo may not be the case

It could be the form (ergocalciferol); some people report less side effects with D2 or calcifediol

I've had chronically low levels for several years (18 - 25), and getting out in the sun every day doesn't seem to help enough

Whenever I supplement vitamin D3 though, it literally nukes my emotional state and focus; this gets worse with increasing dosage. Eventually I get extremely depressed, irritable, and can't sleep properly.

    Magnesium barely helps this.

I took 2000 IU today and felt restless and fatigued at the same time. It's like I have no awareness of my surroundings at all, and my prescription Adderall was quickly rendered completely & utterly useless

    Has anyone else experienced this?

Have no idea about the side effects of most vitamins or even what the difference in types are.

But i do know that if you eat/drink/dose anything thats high in Vitamin C (ex: a glass of orange juice or supplements) before or after you take adderal, then the Vitamin C does render it ineffective because it prevents the amphetamine from being absorbed by your body. This is especially not ideal for Adderall XR users cause the timed released nature of the pills means that you can essentially make it stop working and flush out of your system by ingesting Vitamin C during any point of the day. (I assume this applies to a lot of other stimulants in general, but certainly all aphetamine-based ones.)

I dont know if D3 has similar interactions with adderall/amphetamines, but a cursory google search yields results from medical sites that say no, but also anecdotal posts from barious places lime Reddit by people claiming D3 has "cancelled out" the effects of theit Adderall. So who knows?

I did see a few posts online mentioning Vitamin D blunting effects of amphetamine but didn't really know what to make of it

I still feel scattered after yesterday, accidentally slept with contacts in for the first time last night, and my mind feels the same before and after meds

    Very disconcerting

Without Vitamin K, magnesium or Vitamin D are not being absorbed properly.

D3 and Magnesium help with calcium but not with where they end up being absorbed

I'm about to re-up on magnesium, gonna get some vitamin k too

Any particular kind of vitamin k I should look for and do you have any other recommendations

    Peace Kid

i tend to feel better after taking D3. mood levelled.
black folk need more sunlight than lighter skinned, especially in the northern hemisphere. thats why dietary D3 is critical

If your D3 levels are s*** you’ll feel like a rotting corpse
