He's obviously synonymous with being the artist that birth a culture and sound of R&B that highlights the songwriting and melodies instead of the vocal ability (which is an insane feat for a rapper)
but at his peak he had a better singing voice than the PND's Bryson Tiller Tory Lanez and Brent Faiyaz's of the world
He actually could sing a bit

He's a worse singer than everyone mentioned in OP tbh
I think part of the problem is that he's getting older and his voice is getting deeper and he hasn't really adjusted to it
He had a really nice, clear tone on Hold On We're Going Home that's very bright and passionate-sounding, but he's f***ing awful on Circo Loco and Falling Back. Not sure if the key isn't right for his range or what happened there.
He's good enough of a singer to have influenced an entire generation of R&B singers.
singing on HN was terrible
Goat album
He use to be able to sing a little bit, he just needed a vocal coach and he would have been better. But now he lost his voice tbh
Drake not being a vocalist like cb or chris brown is what makes him special lol. He has a beautiful tone and knows how to use it. Imagine Jungle or Jaded by Beyonce or Usher

We lost RnB because the church gone
At the end he’s acting like he killed that s***
He's nice within his range
Most impressive vocal performance he had is Jungle I think
I don’t think Drake is a worse singer than he used to be personally. I guess I haven’t seen him live this year but it genuinely is hard to tell off videos vs in person.
I saw him live for the NWTS, Views, and Scorpion tour and it felt like each time I saw him the vocals were better.
I am a vocalist (not an amazing vocalist by any standard) and I’ve met and sang with genuinely extremely talented people. With that I can say Drake isn’t a bad singer, but he isn’t great either.
He occasionally struggles to find a key and I think it might be partially due to the fact that he doesn’t use a live band anymore. In my own personal experience, it is more difficult to sing with a track live than it is with a band with real people who can react to what you’re doing.

Usher lowkey tried this type of sound before
